Although here are many sports, most include running. The foot is built to withstand normal everyday pounding . But it breaks down when extraordinary stresses are put on it, such as running in Poorly made or ill fitted shoes, poor technique, leg muscles grown tight and out of balance, hereditary leg and foot shapes and alignment.
Because most running injuries come from the source tyhey are predictable and preventable. Threats to leg/foot health can be detected early and dealt with before an injury occurs. Proper running starts and often ends at ground level.
